Rosalind Franklin University comprises four colleges or schools:

There are more than 16,000 Rosalind Franklin University alumni with advanced biomedical and health sciences degrees across the United States and worldwide.

The University is named after the British researcher, Dr. Rosalind Franklin, who captured "Photograph 51" of the "B" form of DNA in 1952 at King’s College in London and first revealed to the world its double-helix structure.

As stated in Rosalind Franklin University’s 2007-2011 Strategic Plan, the mission statement declares that the University is “To serve the nation through the education of health and biomedical professionals and the discovery of knowledge dedicated to improving the health of its people.”
