Interview Information

Applicants invited for an interview will be notified via e-mail and sent additional information for planning the campus visit. The official interview season begins mid-September and ends mid-February. On the day of the interview, you will be given a tour of the campus and have the opportunity to meet current CMS students.

Applicants participate in two interviews. Interviews are typically 30-45 minutes in duration and are conducted by members of the CMS Admission Committee, faculty, alumni, and select senior medical students. Through the interview, interviewers will want to learn more about:

Your motivation
Your character
Your personality
Your achievements

There are many resources available to help medical school applicants prepare for interviews. The Chicago Medical School strives to make applicants feel welcome and comfortable. Be yourself during the interview and remember: Your interview not only provides CMS with a chance to evaluate you as a potential student, it also provides you with an opportunity to evaluate us as a medical school!
