STUDENT SAFETY ON-CAMPUS
Student safety is of the highest priority here at Rosalind Franklin University. We adhere to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 by making regular annual reports of on-campus misdemeanors to the federal governement. Campus security keeps 24-hour surveillance on all school property, including rooms and hallways within the two school buildings, cars parked on campus, and the student housing complexes, via cameras, door alarms, and I.D. card-accessed entries and exits. Emergency security call stations are located in the south parking lot, between campus and the Woodlands Apartments, and in the north parking lot, between campus and the student housing complexes. Security may be reached at all times through any of these facilities. After hours, escorts may be requested to help students and staff to their vehicles or to the student housing complexes. Campus Security also makes regular rounds of the RFU campus to ensure the safety of our students and property. Below you will find some helpful resources concerning student safety and security. Some of these are linked to national websites that may be of particular assistance in understanding crime trends on campuses across the U.S. and in taking precautionary measures to prevent such crimes and misdemeanors.
