• The Student Health Center, part of the Rosalind Franklin University Health System, is open Monday through Friday to assist RFUMS students with all of their healthcare needs, from routine checkups and preventive care, to unexpected illnesses.
• Our medical staff includes Edward Magid, MD, and Panduranga Koya, MD, both board-certified Internal Medicine specialists. The Student Health Center plans to add a female provider to the medical staff to provide women's health services, beginning in the summer of 2011.
• The Student Health Center also coordinates the immunization process necessary for all students that will be starting clinical rotations as part of their curriculum.

• Student Health Center services are not free, but the Student Health Center does accept a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare, as well as the health insurance offered through the University (administered by Maksin Management Corp).
• While Rosalind Franklin University requires all enrolled students to have health insurance, please note that not all health insurance policies cover all medical needs. We recommend that you carefully examine the covered (and excluded) services of a specific health insurance plan before making your decision to purchase a plan; this will help ensure that you are buying health insurance that meets your healthcare needs.

• Payment for services, as well as co-pays, are due at the time of the office visit. 
• The Student Health Center accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards bearing the VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logos. We cannot bill your University account for services provided at the Student Health Center.
