Entrance/Exit Loan Counseling

It is mandatory that all students who choose to participate in the Financial Aid Program at Rosalind Franklin University complete an Entrance Interview prior to obtaining their first Financial Aid check. If funds arrive at the University prior to the student completing the Entrance Interview, those funds will be placed on hold until the obligation is fulfilled. The purpose of the Entrance Interview is to introduce new borrowers to the loan programs, ensure students understand the terms and conditions of their aid, and emphasize the importance of careful budgeting.

Upon graduation, it is mandatory that students participate in an Exit Interview. Students who do not complete an exit interview will not receive a diploma until the requirement is fulfilled. The purpose of the Exit Interview is to educate borrowers of their repayment and deferment options, review the loan terms, and discuss repayment strategies.

Entrance and Exit Interviews are not only required by the Financial Aid Office, they are also required by the Department of Education.

Certain students, or groups of students, who are at risk for high debt must participate in other Debt Management programs as required by the Financial Aid Office. Student will receive instructions from the Financial Aid Office on how to proceed.

At any time, any enrolled student at Rosalind Franklin University may contact the Financial Aid Office and make an appointment for Debt Management Counseling. Personalized one-on-one Debt Management Counseling is available equally to all students participating in Financial Aid.
