Promega Express Freezer Program

OVERVIEW
Welcome to the Promega Express program, a cooperative effort between Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS), Promega, and VWR International.

The goal of this program is to provide access to an in-house freezer and cabinet, which will be stocked with routinely-used Molecular Biology reagents.  This freezer and cabinet will be centrally located outside Room 2.115D in Microbiology & Immunology, and they will be accessible round-the-clock.  Access to the freezer will be secured via Pass Cards, which will be assigned to specific End-Users.

Aside from the convenience factor, there are several other benefits from this program.  No shipping and/or dry-ice fees will be charged for items purchased from either unit.  In addition, all stock items will be priced 10% under list.  Stock will be automatically monitored by Promega, thus avoiding product outages.  Expired product(s) will be removed by Promega, at no cost to RFUMS.  Also, technical and product support will be available from both Promega and VWR International.  Finally, since Pass Cards will be utilized to access the freezer, a consolidated monthly billing system will be used to charge End-Users, thus eliminating the need to generate POs.
