        Extended care Program at NCVAMC achieved a score of 96 out of a possible 100 on the JCAHO accreditation process.

 

        The division of Geriatrics at Lutheran General Hospital was named to U.S. News and World Reports listing of the fifty top geriatrics programs.

Weaknesses

 

        Absence of independent Geriatric sections at VAMC and MSH

 

        No dedicated outpatient geriatric assessment clinic at NCVA
