Division Assessment: The Division is in a unique position to perform collaborative
translation research with our basic sciences colleagues. The challenge for the future is to get collaborative projects off the ground and to test the clinical observations made in the laboratory. Furthermore, given the presence of clinical investigators at Provena St. Therese and Victory Memorial Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, it is truly a pity that we are not doing more collaborative clinical research.
