Final Portfolio Evaluation :

Portfolio Evaluation (3 qh): The Master of Science in Nutrition degree program focuses on five competency areas: application of nutrition knowledge, teaching nutrition information, demonstration of the processes of critical inquiry and research, application of technology to professional activities, and demonstration of effective professional communication. Achievement of specific learning objectives in these areas of competency will be demonstrated by the student through development of projects as part of coursework during the course of the degree program. These projects will be part of a required e-portfolio that will be evaluated by the student and a faculty committee. By the end of the course, students will have compiled a final collection of the projects with analysis and reflections for each. Portfolio Evaluation is the final degree requirement and capstone experience for all students in the Master of Science in Nutrition degree program completing the non-thesis option (offered all quarters).
