Dr. Melissa Brown is a Lecturer for the Department of Nutrition at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She has been a member of the faculty since 2007. Dr. Brown completed the combined M.S./Dietetic Internship program at Rush University in Chicago, IL in 1996 and obtained her Doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004.

Dr. Brown has worked as a clinical dietitian, as well as, owned her own private practice and has experience teaching both in the traditional classroom setting and the online venue. In addition to teaching, Dr. Brown has focused her efforts for the past 10 years on diabetes and pancreatic islet cell transplantation research.
