Congratulations to Psychology Department Student Award Winners
The Christine Louro Award is given to a psychology student who excels in both clinical training and research. The award this year goes to Alona Ramati for her both her clinical and research work with electrical injury patients. Her work has resulted in several publications in this area that will advance the understanding of electrical injury related neurological problems.
The Award for Excellence in Research is given to a second or third year psychology student who has shown outstanding productivity in research. The award this year goes to Dalin Pulsipher for his research on the development and structural integrity of the corpus callosum and basal ganglia nuclei in both children and adults with epilepsy using MRI volumetric measures.
The Kriszta Szabo Scholarship is awarded to a psychology student who has made outstanding contributions in cultural diversity activities. The award this year goes to David Charles who has emphasized cultural diversity in his clinical training work. David is actively involved in student organizations in the university working on diversity issues.
