Department of Medicine Faculty Appointment and Promotion Criteria
The Appointment and Promotion Committee communicates on a regular basis as the appointment and promotion packets are prepared for processing. This Committee has the responsibility of reviewing all applicants and recommending acceptance or refusal to the Chair of the Department of Medicine. This Committee, while making recommendations, may be over-ridden by the Chair in the final decision-making process.
Nine new faculty members have been appointed to the department roster in this academic year. Four promotions appointments have been processed as well.
The Department of Medicine has the largest department faculty in the Medical School.
