Research Committee

The Research Committee goals are to promote and foster research in the department and with our affiliates. The discipline of research is one of the three legs of our educational mission. The many changes that we are seeing in the clinical science arena has had an impact on the research time that physicians can implement. It is one of the goals of this committee to determine how to assist our clinical faculty with this dilemma. It is an important part of the residents education and this committee will attempt to find ways to incorporate the research experience into their curriculum while maintaining the quality education time that can best serve their needs.

Quarterly Research Seminars are sponsored by the Committee facilitating departmental and external research topics. The Committee has advocated that University infrastructure be instituted to develop clinical research and grant development.
