Timothy Mikesell , D.O.

Dr. Tim Mikesell received his B.S. in Biology in 1991 from Albion College (Albion, MI). He attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1991 to 1995. From 1995-1996 he did an Osteopathic Rotating Internship at Sparrow Hospital (Lansing, MI). He then spent 1996 to 2000 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, OH) where he did a Preliminary Internal Medicine Internship and then his Adult Neurology Residency. He served a Chief Resident for the Adult and Pediatric Neurology Programs for the academic year of 1999-2000.

Currently, Dr. Mikesell is the Medical Director of Stroke and Chairperson of the Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting Credentialing Committee at Lutheran General Hospital, a Primary Stroke Center as designated by the Joint Commission. Though practicing General Neurology, he clinical interests include Headache and Cerebrovascular Disease. Throughout his career, Dr. Mikesell has participated in clinical trials in cerebrovascular disease.
