FOR STUDENTS ROTATING AT
NORTH CHICAGO VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER:

All students are REQUIRED to register with both, Hines VA and North Chicago VA, before the start of the designated rotation.

Students must complete and submit the forms listed in D2L's course MNEU700 (Content: Orientation: Affiliate Hospitals: Student Information) at least 2 weeks in advance of your rotation start date.

DAY 2: NCVAMC: Time: 8:00 a.m. Address: 3301 Green Bay Rd. , Building 133-CA, Room 3D-115A, North Chicago, IL 60064. See Dorothy Fain.

TEAMS: Students are assigned to an attending Neurologist for the duration of the clerkship.

CALL: There is no overnight call.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Students are responsible for the evaluation and follow-up of all admissions, consults, and outpatients in ambulatory care.

STUDENT SCHEDULE: Daily work hours, weekends, and holidays are confirmed on site. Students are expected to attend Morning Meetings and Clinics in the morning, Case Conference on Tuesday mornings and Neuroradiology/Neuropathology Conference once a week. Consults are discussed in the afternoons.
