STROGER HOSPITAL PARKING OPTIONS

* Both facilities below are a reasonable walking distance (approx. 3-4 blocks) to/from the Stroger Administration building at 1900 W. Polk (internally connected to Stroger Hospital); Stroger Hospital Security does NOT provide individual escort service to either facility

VA Parking Structure

• Covered structure at 2108 Taylor St. (Taylor & Ogden)
• $50/mo. (may pay for > 1 mo. at a time, but with no “volume discount”)
• Students referred to the VA structure by the Stroger Professional Affairs Dept. may also use their VA parking card to park FREE in Stroger’s on-site lot during non-peak hours (i.e., M-F after 4:30pm and on weekends/holidays)
• Arrangements for parking in the VA Parking Structure can be made through the Stroger Professional Affairs Dept. in Suite 5360 in Stroger Hospital (must present Stroger I.D. badge)

Juvenile Detention Center

• Covered structure at 1101 S. Hamilton (approx. one block south of VA Parking Structure)
• Open to the public
• $2/day out-of-pocket (no long-term rates)
• Shuttle service to/from Stroger Hospital M-F, 5am-8pm and 11pm-12:30am

Public Transportation

• There is an “L” (subway) stop (“Medical Center”) at 430 S. Damen Ave. (Rt. 290/Eisenhower Expy. at Damen), 1-2 blocks from Stroger Hospital
