“Chicago Dopamine” has been created by a group of Chicago-land scientists who are interested in the topic of dopamine. The idea is to meet once or twice a year to discuss and share our most interesting and exciting scientific views, findings and projects. The main focus will be anything relating to dopamine (there is nothing higher than dopamine) - but we do respect other people’s religions… ergo the “and friends” (glutamate, opiates etc.). The meetings will always be very informal. They will perhaps take place in one of our schools/universities, or at someone’s home. The formats will vary, and could involve a few “data blitzes” some longer presentations, a lot of data sharing and a lot of discussion/talking. Dinner and stimulation of dopamine neurons could be an option that follows the meeting. So many of us work on interesting projects that this would be a great opportunity to learn what we are all doing, share ideas, stimulate thought, and increase dopamine.
