Malini Patel, M.D. Clinical Professor Medical Director Community Psychiatric Services/EMHC and Metro Suburban Network, and Site Coordinator, EMHC
Dr. Patel graduated from our psychiatry residency. She is board certified in psychiatry with added qualifications in addiction psychiatry. She is Medical Director of Elgin Mental Health Center Community Psychiatric Services/Metro Suburban Network and site coordinator. She teaches residents and medical students at EMHC and residents at DuPage County Health Department where she sees patients in the Dual Diagnosis and Assertive Treatment Programs. In 1991, she won the EMHC/CMS Excellence in Education Award, and in 2001 she won the EMHC/CMS Medical Student Teacher of the Year Award. She has published and presented on topics related to court ordered treatment, administrative psychiatry and addictions.
