We all welcome the newest faculty member Prof. Adrian Gross from Northwestern University. Adrian's NIH funded research focuses on the structure and function of ion channels. We would also like to congratulate Prof. Jun-yong Choe for getting his first NIH grant that will investigate the structure and function of glucose transporters. He was also featured in his mentoring capacity in a local newspaper, the Lake County Journal. Last but not least we have a new captain at the helm. Prof. Ron Kaplan is now Vice President of Research for RFUMS and Prof. Marc Glucksman is now the Chair of the Department.
