Planned for completion by the end of the first phase of the CSCRM strategic plan, a central cell culture facility will be established to provide for the production of clinical grade cells for clinical trials of stem cell therapies. The scope of this facility is to support Phase I clinical trials by Center investigators. Initial design will support research grade cell culture studies with gradual implementation of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) protocols to enable certification for clinical use.
