What you need to apply

The following preparation is required for successful candidates for the Clinical Psychology program.

Academics

  • Significant studies in areas such as psychology, sociology, criminal justice, etc. are recommended.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education prior to matriculation into the program.
  • A minimum overall GPA of 3.00 for the last two years of undergraduate study is required.    

Standardized Tests

  • The Graduate Education Record (GRE) examination is optional.
  • The Advanced Psychology GRE is optional.        
  • GRE scores must be sent directly to Rosalind Franklin University from Education Testing Services (ETS).

Letters of Recommendation

  • Three letters of recommendation from former professors, or employers, familiar with the applicant's professional or educational capabilities.
  • The admissions committee prefers two letters from former professors.

Transcripts

  • Official transcripts submitted from each college, university, and community college previously attended.

Computer competency

  • Basic knowledge is required.

Background check

  • All accepted students must pass a RFUMS background check before matriculation.
