University Accreditation
Rosalind Franklin University was granted candidate status by the Higher Learning Commission in 1971 and achieved full accreditation at the doctoral level in 1980. For the past two years, RFUMS has been engaged in a process of self study addressing the Commission’s requirements and criteria for accreditation which culminated in a successful HLC Survey Visit in April of 2008.
On October 29, 2008, The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools approved continued accreditation status for Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with no interim reports or other site visits required. The next scheduled comprehensive evaluation is expected in 2018-2019.
