Judith Gravdal, MD, is the Morris M. Goldberg, MD Chair of Family Medicine and Program Director at Advocate Luther General Hospital's Family Medicine Residency. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of St. Olaf College, she received her MD degree from the University of South Dakota where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Following residency in Rockford, IL, she was on faculty at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford for several years prior to joining the Lutheran General Hospital's Family Medicine Residency. She was named program director in 2004 and department chair in 2006. Her scholarly interests include the patient experience in medical education and health care, medical education, and family violence. She brings prior experience as academic chair at Rosalind Franklin University's Chicago Medical School to this new collaboration.
