John White, M.D.
Dr. John White is chairman of the department of surgery of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. After receiving his MD from Columbia University, Dr. White served his surgical residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and his vascular fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He then joined the department of surgery at Temple University where he became professor of surgery and director of surgical research. In 1999, he assumed the chair of surgery at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. White continues to be involved in the active practice of vascular surgery and surgical research, with special interests in aortic aneurysms, surgical safety, healthcare delivery, and healthcare guidelines. He has published more than 100 manuscripts, 50 textbook chapters, and edited six books and continues to work as a consultant for the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Michael Zdon received his M.D. from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and did his General Surgical Residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Following four years as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Yale University he joined the faculty at Chicago Medical School in 1988 and is currently Professor and Vice Chairman. He is currently on the hospital staffs of Advocate Condell Hospital, Mt Sinai Hospital, and North Shore University Health System. He is certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. His area of clinical interest is Surgical Endocrinology. Dr. Zdon also serves as Associate Dean for Continuing Medical Education at Chicago Medical School.
