The College’s student:faculty ratio of 10:1 fosters the development of strong mentoring relationships. Small group learning is an integral part of the educational experience. We embrace the interprofessional culture of the University throughout our PharmD curriculum; our students learn from, with, and about students in the other healthcare programs both in the classroom and during practice experiences. In keeping with campus’ interprofessional spirit, PharmD students have quickly become an integral part of the vibrant student body by joining University wide organizations and intramural sports teams, in addition to launching pharmacy specific clubs of their own.
Throughout their four-years of study, students will gain wide exposure to modern day pharmacy practice within our experiential program. Our experiential rotation sites are located throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, with select advanced elective opportunities across the nation and abroad. The robust program includes opportunities in community and healthsystems settings, participation in research projects with dedicated scientists, collaboration on service learning projects with students from other healthcare disciplines, and opportunities in research and development and regulatory affairs in pharmaceutical industry.
This is just a glimpse into the exciting journey our students experience on their road to becoming the drug and dosing expert of a healthcare team. The opportunities are seemingly endless for pharmacy practice, and your future starts here. We invite you to join us and begin to live a "
Life in Discovery” at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science College of Pharmacy.
Sincerely,
