Curriculum & Instructional Format:

The first year is primarily taught in a traditional lecture format, with computer-based interactive learning, student laboratory, simulation model, and small group teaching incorporated.  The second year utilizes independent study courses, seminars and clinical rotations. 

Curriculum Design:
RFUMS offers a 24 month, entry-level, graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice. The first 12 months consists of didactic course work. The second 12 months entails attending clinical rotations in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Emergency Medicine, and two electives.

Degree Requirements:
In order to receive the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice, students will be required to complete all course work with a grade of "C" or better.

Students must complete class work in its entirety. No advanced standing or transfer credits will be awarded regardless of previous experience.
