Professional Definition
Physical Therapy is a dynamic health care profession. Practitioners must be able to adapt to the quickly changing health care system yet continue to provide outstanding services. In order to provide the profession with Physical Therapists ready to assume this role, RFUMS/College of Health Professions offers an entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. The goal of the program is to educate a physical therapist who is able to practice effectively, safely, and ethically in any type of health care delivery environment.
This three year unified and integrated entry level physical therapy program includes academic, clinical and research components which offer options to explore specialty areas. It is designed for the self motivated student who is skilled in critical thinking and willing to be an active participant in group learning situations.
We are looking for mature individuals who are realistic self-evaluators with a good knowledge of their capabilities and the ability to make well thought out choices.
It is our desire to guide our students to develop a life long commitment to professional growth and the potential to develop into master clinicians while participating in health care management.
