Admission Requirements

The Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, the College of Health Professions is designed for self-motivated clinicians wishing to maximize their learning time in a non-traditional environment.

Requirements for application are:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy and hold a license to practice physical therapy in the United States.
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  • Two official letters of recommendation from individuals who were involved in your previous educational or clinical experience.
  • Students from institutions outside the United States must have an international credentials evaluation, sent from Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy. You can contact them at (703) 684-8406.
  • The TOEFL examination is required of all foreign applicants from countries in which English is not the native language and who have not attended an American college or university full time for two consecutive years.

Admission to the program is competitive. Class members are selected on the basis of academic records, application, and letters of recommendation.

Computer literacy is required. Computer software requirements and specifications will be provided upon acceptance.

Students will receive advanced standing credit based on their portfolio analysis by showing evidence of the successful completion of coursework, clinical specialization, certifications or related experience.
