Become a Mentor

It wasn't long ago that you were in their shoes... a first-year graduate student wondering what this experience was going to be like, not knowing what to expect.

Wouldn't it have been nice to have someone help you along? Someone to give you pointers on study time? To give you an idea of what to expect?

That's what you will do for another student, if you sign up to become a mentor. Alumni mentors can communicate with students through e-mail, occasional phone calls to ask how things are going, maybe even a cup of coffee in the cafeteria or a at a local shop. It's up to you and the student you are mentoring to decide how much you will be in contact. A little support and guidance goes a long way!

Having gone through similar experiences, you are the voice in each student that says, "I made it; so can you."

Please fill out this form and submit it. If you have any questions, please contact the Alumni Affairs office at AlumniAffairs@rosalindfranklin.edu or (847) 578-3200. If you would like some general guidelines and ideas to help you along, please click here. We will contact you when we have matched you with a student. And THANK YOU!!
