Timothy R. Hansen, Ph.D. Prior to joining Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 1975, Dr. Hansen was an instructor at Harvard Medical School, and has served in many administrative and teaching capacities throughout his career.
Dr. Hansen holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from Rackham School of Graduate Studies, University of Michigan, and has held many key positions at Rosalind Franklin University, including Director of Curriculum, Director of Minority Affairs and Director of Ancillary Programs. Dr. Hansen is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of the Office of Faculty Affairs for Rosalind Franklin University. He advises the President/C.E.O. with respect to University-wide issues affecting faculty members, provides leadership to faculty members within the University and maintains faculty appointments, tenure, and performance reviews. In addition, Dr. Hansen provides leadership in faculty development by ensuring adequate service and support is provided for faculty.
Dr. Hansen also maintains a faculty position in the School of Medicine, as Professor of Physiology and Biophysics. Dr. Hansen is actively involved in community service programs, and has lectured publicly on curriculum issues and multicultural affairs.
