This clinical program enjoys full accreditation status by the American psychological Association (APA). It integrates academic, scientific, and professional training and offers the Doctor of Philosophy degree. The program provides students with intensive instruction in the theoretical framework of psychology and broad experience in methods of practice of clinical psychology. We believe that clinical psychologists should be both scientists--knowledgeable in formulating and solving scientific problems, and professionals--experienced in the use of clinical techniques. To this end, the core courses are organized as integrated theory-research-practice units with a problem solving emphasis. In addition to didactic training, the tutorial instruction provided by the faculty is a major strength of the program. The program offers specialty tracks in neuropsychology and health psychology.
