Life in Discovery at The Chicago Medical School
I. MCAT and AMCAS Application Applicants for admission to the first-year class must be initiated through the American Medical College Application Services (AMCAS), sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges. Designate the Chicago Medical School (IL 110) on your AMCAS application. The deadline for receipt of applications at AMCAS is November 1. The Chicago Medical School will only accept MCAT scores that are no older than three years from the year you plan on matriculating. For the 2012 Entering Class, the oldest scores we can accept are from 2009.

II. Supplemental Application Once your complete AMCAS application is reviewed by CMS, you will receive a supplemental application and further instructions on completing the application for admission. The completed supplemental application must be received by December 1, 2011 for consideration. III. Letters of Evaluation
We require a composite/committee evaluation from your school or three individual letters of evaluation. The Admissions Office suggests submitting two individual letters by professors under whom you have studied, and the third letter from a person who has supervised your work experience(s), or others who are uniquely qualified to comment on your potential for the study of medicine. Submission Procedures:
The CMS Admissions Office will only accept letters evaluation through the AMCAS letter service. For information regarding how to submit letters of evaluation through AMCAS please contact AMCAS or visit the AMCAS website (http://www.aamc.org/students/amcas/faq/amcasletters.htm).
The Admissions Office will no longer accept letters of evaluation directly from other online letter services or through postal mail. Letters received through other methods will NOT be included in the application.
All required letters of evaluation must be received by December 1, 2011 for consideration.
