Academic Requirements

Scholl College welcomes candidates for admission from any academic discipline or undergraduate major who have completed at least three years of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university. Most entering students possess an earned baccalaureate or advanced degree. A candidate's academic credentials must include successful completion of the following academic requirements prior to enrollment:

90 semester credit hours or 135 quarter hours, including the following minimum credits:

Biology *

12 semester hours

or

18 quarter hours

General/Inorganic Chemistry

  8 semester hours

or

12 quarter hours

Organic Chemistry**

  8 semester hours

or

12 quarter hours

Physics

  8 semester hours

or

12 quarter hours

English

  6 semester hours

or

  9 quarter hours

 

*We believe students would benefit from an academic background in biochemistry, microbiology or other advanced biology coursework.
**Biochemistry may be substituted for half of the Organic Chemistry requirement.
All science courses must include laboratory work where applicable.
