Beginning Course - This D2L Grades tool course will cover the basics ofsetting up a grade book including accessing the Grades tool, setting upgrade items and grade categories, setting view properties, and usinggrade schemes.  (Prerequisite: D2L-022T)

D2L142:  HTML Editor Training
The instructions in this course allow you to create enhanced coursecontent in D2L using the built in HTML Editor. Change the color andsize of the text or insert images, tables, or links to make the coursecontent more effective.

D2L205: Course Tools:Communication 2
D2L205T: Course Tools: Communication 2 (InternetDelivery)
This slightly more advanced course provides an overview of several D2LCommunication tools.  We will review how to effectively use theEmail and Discussions tools to promote communication in your course.  An advanced feature will be setting group level permissionsin Discussions.

This is an intermediate course that builds upon many of the conceptscovered in the beginning course, such as: attaching a file or hyperlinkto an email, sorting messages, creating a personal contact list,editing and rescheduling appointments and setting recurringappointments.  In addition, new tools, such as using the task listand the journal, viewing public folders, creating a signature andaccessing your web mail will be introduced.

MSP201: PowerPoint – A Better Presentation

This intermediate course will build on the skills learned in thebeginning PowerPoint class.  The purpose of enhancing apresentation is to make it more effective and engaging. Using designprinciples presented in the class, participants will edit an existingpresentation to improve the audience experience.

ADA101 Creating aPDF Document with Adobe Acrobat Professional
If you need to create a document that can be viewed on any computer,then using Acrobat may be the answer. This application will convert adocument, authored in another application such as MS Word, into aPortable Document Format (PDF) file that can be uploaded into D2L, sentas an attachment, or printed. Using a PDF file eliminates the abilityto edit the document unless the person receiving it also has AcrobatProfessional. In this course we will show you how to create a PDF filefrom different source files and how to use the editing tools in AdobeAcrobat 8.0 Professional (most of the tools are also active in version6 and 7).
(Introductory Course – Prerequisite: None, but a basicknowledge of computer use is necessary.)

SCN101 DigitizingDocuments and Pictures using a Scanner
You have an original printed letter that needs to be send by email whator a stack of old documents that need to be edited but you don’t havethe original files. Maybe you need to add a picture to a document butyou haven’t a clue what to do. Learn the important parameters aboutscanning and why there is a difference between scanning pictures andtext documents, this course presents many different solutions. We willalso discuss Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software which mightbe effective in eliminating the retyping of old documents.
(Introductory Course – Prerequisite: None, but proficient useof a computer is necessary.)

ADA201 Acrobat 8.0 Professional –Forms and Security Intermediate Course
Learn how to create forms using Adobe LiveCycle designer. Forms caninclude graphics and other form objects along with text. Add extrasecurity to your fill-in forms with Acrobat’s optional tools.
(Prerequisite: ADA101 or experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional)

HTM101 HyperText Markup Language – HTML Line Tags and Other Basics Introductory Course
Web browsers use HTML code to format how the pages display.Understanding HTML tags will help you modify documents created in theHTML editor in D2L or other web authoring software.

Introductory Course
