The Rosalind Franklin University fitness center is designed to help students and faculty reach their goals of physical wellness. Not only does the fitness center feature a variety of cardio machines, free weights and lifting equipment, there are numerous options available for everyone. Inside you will find a punching bag, aerobic equipment and empty floor space for floor work as well. Three walls of the gym are covered with mirrors and there are scales available for your use. Also look to the bulletin board for information on everything from proper technique and stretching to tips on how to eat right and get enough sleep. There is even a place for you to write down your suggestions and comments. The Rosalind Franklin University fitness center will be undergoing a significant upgrade in equipment thanks to funding provided by the Executive Student Council. Please look for new equipment during August 2006! The fitness center is free to all students and staff with a valid Rosalind Franklin University ID. The gym is open 24 hours a day for your convenience with the exception of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. when it closes for cleaning. Guidelines and Policies Please take a proactive role in the maintenance of our equipment by reporting any breaks or damages to student.development@rosalindfranklin.edu
RECREATION CLASSES To help every student reach their goals of physical wellness, the Division of Student Affairs will be offering weekly wellness classes in Yoga, Kickboxing and Tai Chi. These classes are free to all students and staff with a valid Rosalind Franklin University ID. If students have further ideas for classes they would like initiated on campus, you are free to leave suggestions with: student.development@rosalindfranklin.edu
