INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
SUPPORT SERVICES

A warm welcome to all of our new and returning international students from your colleagues, professors, and members of the adminstration at Rosalind Franklin Univeristy of Medicine and Science (RFUMS)! We have always prided ourselves with a diverse, multicultural student body that draws its constituents from all around the globe. RFUMS enrolls applicants based solely on their academic qualifications; ethnicity, visa status, and background play no part in the decision to admit a candidate. Today, over 24 nations are represented in the approximately 84 international students who are currently enrolled in all programs offered at RFUMS. Additionally, clubs such as the Islamic Medical Asociation (IMA), the South Asian Medical Association (SAMA), and the Asian-Pacific American Medical Association (APAMSA) are only three out of the many university-sponsored, student-run clubs that enable individuals of various ethnicities to express their multicultural interests and commemorate important events. Annual celebrations of the Persian and Indian New Years (Diwali), of Black History and Hispanic Heritage Months, and of the Muslim Holy Month of Fasting (Ramadan) are amongst the long-standing traditions that make one's years at RFUMS a culturally-enriching experience. In order to facilitate your adjustment into the RFUMS community, the following links have been established. They are regularly updated and should serve as a reasonable guide to life for an international student in the U.S.
