Lecture Recording Description and Tutorials

 Camtasia Studio

Lecture Capture Software is used for capturing the screen and the lecture audio as a recorded from the microphone input device.  The purpose of this is to provide students with audio and video files of  class lectures. 
 

Microsoft Windows based Camtasia is installed in the following classrooms:

• L.360 West Pod
• L.361 Rhodes Auditorium
• L.362 East Pod
• G.714 HSB Classroom
• G.716 HSB Classroom
• 1.702 HSB Classroom
• 1.704 HSB Classroom
• 1.706 HSB Classroom
• 1.710 HSB Classroom

• 2.700 HSB Classroom
• 2.704 HSB Classroom
• 2.710 HSB Classroom

Macintosh based Camtasia Is coming soon to the following classrooms:

Several copies are also available in the ET Training room for those who want to record lectures outside of the classroom.

 

TurningPoint ARS Description and Tutorials

 This add-in to PowerPoint allows the presenter to poll the audience and display the results on a PowerPoint slide immediately upon closing polling.  The version currently supported by the university requires that the computer has a USB receiver and that each audience member use a "clicker" polling device to answer questions.  TurningPoint is loaded on the following classroom computers:  (receivers are needed to run polling and are located as indicated below):

If you would like to use TurningPoint in a classroom that does not have a reciever, please contact Educational Technology at ed.tech@rosalindfranklin.edu and one will be installed in the classroom temporarily.  Make sure you include the classroom number and the date/time you will be using the classroom in the email.
