Fitness Classes
To help every student reach their goals of physical wellness, the Office of Student Life provides weekly fitness classes that are free to all RFUMS students. Classes are offered on campus and also at the Lake Bluff Park District. Classes are on a first come first serve basis and may have limited numbers available for each session. Time and dates will change accordingly throughout the school year and students should check the Sports and Recreation calendar for updates. Before participanting in any of the fitness classes, students need to stop by the Office of Student Life, L.666, to fill out a waiver.
Body Pump Where: Lake Bluff Park District; 355 W. Washington Ave, Lake Bluff, IL 60044 When: Mondays from 6:55pm - 7:55pm and Tuesdays from 5:30 - 6:30pm beginning 10/17/11. **Please only attend one session per week, spots are limited to 15 per class. Stop by the Office of Student Life to sign-up and pick up a voucher. No classes 10/31 and 11/1, 11/7 and 11/8, 12/19 and 12/20, 12/26 and 12/27, 1/2 and 1/3, 1/16 and 1/17, 2/13 and 2/14, 2/20 and 2/21. What you need: Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and bring a towel/water, along with your RFUMS ID and voucher.
Yoga Where: Rhoades Auditorium When: Tuesdays, beginning 9/6/11 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. What you need: Yoga mat if you have one, limited mats are provided. Bring a towel/water and also wear comfortable clothing.
Kickboxing Where: Rhoades Auditorium When: Wednesdays from 5:00pm - 6:00pm beginning 2/1/12. What you need: Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and bring a towel/water. **This class only allows 20 spots.
Spin Where: Lake Bluff Park District; 355 W. Washington Ave, Lake Bluff, IL 60044 When: Wednesdays, beginning 9/7/11 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. What you need: Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes, bring a towel/water and bring your RFUMS ID. This class allows only 15 spots.
Cardio Step Where: Rhoades Auditorium When: Thursdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm beginning 10/20/11. What you need: Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and bring a towel/water. **This class only allows 15 spots.
Check out the Sports and Recreation Calendar to see the full schedule of fitness classes. There will not be classes held on holidays, along with the weeks of exams and fall, winter and spring breaks. Fitness classes will end the last week in April.
