In the Creative Media Center, all of our creative staff is responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously with varying complexities, time lines and due dates. In order to facilitate and manage the workload, projects must be scheduled into the current available and appropriate time slots to begin the work requested. An estimate can be made on the approximate turn-around times for your edits at the time it is submitted.
The expected time frames for the various services are listed below. Please note that projects requiring multiple services will take longer in most cases, as often each service is required to provide completed files for the next service to use and work with.
Production Printing
This is a first-come first-serve basis. Walk-ins are acceptable, and most requests are able to be completed same or next day. Actual turn-around times are based on current workload and complexity of the project. You may also schedule in advance.
Web Design
Most editing requests are able to be completed same or next day. Actual turn-around times are based on current workload, complexity and scope of the project. Larger projects should be scheduled in advance. Content management system training is by appointment only.
Multimedia
Event filming is available by appointment during regular normal business hours. Please schedule with at least two days notice. All offsite event filming, as well as filming outside of the normal office hours requires advanced scheduling. Please schedule no less than seven working days before the event, with more advanced notification greatly appreciated. All post-production editing is subject to time and complexity factors. The multimedia production artist will discuss the estimated project timelines and milestones for review at the beginning of the project, and continue to update those timelines as the project develops.
Digital Photography
Portrait photography available by appointment during regular office hours. Event photography available by appointment, or availability of the photographer on short notice, during regular normal office hours. All offsite photography requires advanced scheduling. For offsite or event photography please schedule with at least seven days notice with more advanced notification greatly appreciated. Same day photo printing service when available, carries an additional nominal service charge.
Graphic Design
Turn-around on new projects for an initial layout proof is ten working days from the day you submit the request and provide the necessary support files (text and graphics). In some instances you may receive the initial proof sooner, based on factors of availability and current workload. After the initial proof, turn-around times on subsequent editing and providing revised proofs will vary according to the complexity of the changes and current workload.
