A permanent building access Identification Card (ID) is issued to each student upon enrollment and registration at the University. An RFUMS ID card is a plastic card bearing a student's photo with a security strip on the back containing information that will open the entrance doors (via a proximity card reader). Students should wear their ID card at all times while on University property. An ID Card can also serve as a cash card when monetary value is added to it by inserting $1, $5, $10 or $20 bills only (no coins) in one of the two Helix Card Machines located in 1) Library (study area) and, 2) North Entrance of the Basic Science Building (across from Security Guard station). Once money is added to an ID card, it can then provide convenience in paying for the following on-campus services:
****Please follow the instructions on the Helix Cash Machines regarding the removal of receipts so that no problems occur that require repair to the machine. ****
Students who want to request cash adjustments due to equipment failure, must complete the Helix Error Report and Reimbursement Request form and submit to Alma Trujillo in the Finance Department (L.300).
Lost or stolen ID cards must be reported promptly to Campus Security, Basic Science Building Room #L.369 on that day or the next business day. Replacement of RFUMS ID cards can be obtained by submitting a request with Campus Security. A $10.00 replacement fee will be charged for a lost, stolen or mutilated identification card. The ID Card is non-transferable, and any employee or student who uses the ID card of another person or who allows his or her ID card to be used by someone else will be subject to disciplinary action. Possession, use or knowingly creating false ID cards is in violation of the University ID Card Policies and Guidelines.
