Department of Medicine Faculty Appointment and Promotion Criteria
The Medical Executive Committee meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. This Committee is comprised of the division chief’s, program directors, committee chairs, and senior staff members of the department.
This committee is the decision and policy instituting body of the department. The members of this committee are responsible for the department activity over all. The committee is led by Chair, Dr. William Rhoades is able to interact with all the leadership of the department to instill leadership, policy changes, requirements, new ideas, and to recharge the faculty through each committee member.
Major issues addressed this year include affiliate institutions relations, Grand Round Structure, Undergraduate Curriculum, LCME accreditation, residency structure, research deficiencies and divisional issues.
