Admission Requirements
The majority of students are admitted to the department in the Ph.D. program. In addition to this, students are also admitted to graduate studies in the department in the combined M.D./Ph.D. degree program. Entry into the PHD training program follows successful completion of the IGPBS core year or the second year basic mediacl courses and follows the SGPS Advanced Phase timeline for selection of research committee, candidacy exam, thesis proposal, progress review, and thesis defense. The PhD in Microbiology and Immunology will be granted upon successful completion of the requirements, as well as thesis defense and publication.

All inquiries regarding graduate studies and admission to the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Biomedical Studies (IGPBS) should be directed to the Graduate Admissions Office by contacting Caryn Wickersheim at caryn.wickersheim@rosalindfranklin.edu.
