Diane R. Bridges, MSN, RN, CCM Assistant Professor

Professor Bridges received her BSN from The University of Texas at Houston in 1976 where she attended on an academic scholarship. She received her MSN in Leadership Management from La Roche College in 2002 where she also received the Sigma Theta Tau Scholarship.

Professor Bridges has been a nurse for 30 years with experience in Obstetrics, Neonatal Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Orthopedics. These positions included head nurse and management roles. She taught Nursing in two programs for 8 years and was Chair for the Growing Family Course at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center St. Margaret School of Nursing.

Professor Bridges is also a Certified Case Manager and has worked in this field in a supervisory/management capacity which included being a manager in women's healthcare at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was also a case manager, in the private, state, and public sectors of case management. Professor Bridges joined the faculty of Rosalind Franklin University in August 2005. Professor Bridges is currently pursuing a PhD in Interprofessional Healthcare Studies.

Professor Bridges teaches HHCM 515 Healthcare Law, HHCM 517 Management Ethics, HHCM 524 Organizational Behavior and Human Resources and HHCM 590 Final Portfolio.

Linda J. Mast PhD, FACMPE Associate Professor

Linda Mast, PhD, holds a BSN from the University of Maryland, an MBA in Health Care Administration from Western New England University, and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Mast has over 20 years of operations and executive administrative experience in health care including the military, academic medical centers, faculty practice plans, outpatient surgery centers, ambulatory care, community hospitals, and long term care facilities. Her most recent industry experience was the Chief Compliance Officer for the University of Chicago Health System where she was responsible for development and implementation of the institutional corporate compliance program for 8,000 employees, faculty physicians, and staff. During this time, Dr. Mast served on an advisory board to the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General in Washington, DC.

 

Dr. Mast has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on a variety of health services, risk management, and education methodology subjects. She has conducted national research related to problem-based learning outcomes and continuing education for physicians. Prior to joining the faculty at Rosalind Franklin University, Dr. Mast served at the Associate Dean of the Morris Graduate School of Management at Robert Morris University. She has taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate healthcare management courses in both traditional classroom and distance learning modes, and is board certified as a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She currently serves on the Medical Practice Management Body of Knowledge advisory committee for the Association of University Programs in Healthcare Administration (AUPHA). Professor Mast has been with Rosalind Franklin University since 2006 and received her full time faculty appointment as Associate Professor in 2011.
