Ainsley Malone, MS, RD, LD, CNSD
Ainsley Malone, MS, RD, LD, CNSD
is a Nutrition Support Dietitian in the Pharmacy Department of Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, OH. She is a member of an active Nutrition Support Team whose function is to provide nutrition care to adult and neonatal patients requiring parenteral and enteral nutrition. Ainsley has been practicing in this specialty area for over 25 years and one was of the first group of clinicians to obtain certification in nutrition support (‘89). She received her B.S. in Dietetics (‘79) from Miami University in Oxford, OH and completed her Dietetic Internship (’80) at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Ainsley obtained her M.S. in Nutrition from the former, Finch University of Health Sciences in 2000. She has been a lecturer at Rosalind Franklin University since 2003.
Ainsley is a leader professionally and clinically. She has held multiple leadership positions in a number of nutrition support and dietetic organizations over the past 15 years. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and is a long standing leader within the Ohio Chapter. Ainsley is an active leader in the American Dietetic Association and currently is beginning a three year term in the House of Delegates. She also is a member of the Evidence Based Practice Committee as well as the Chair of the Evidence Analysis Library Critical Illness Workgroup. Ainsley has served the Dietetic Practice Group, Dietitians in Nutrition Support for many years and is currently the Immediate Past Chair. Ainsley is the author of over 35 peer-reviewed publications on a wide variety of nutrition support topics and has presented at the local, state, national and international levels. She also serves as a Consultant for Baxter and Abbott Nutrition. Ainsley was awarded the 2008 American Dietetic Association Foundation award for Excellence in Clinical Practice.
