Ashley Evans Professionalism Award
This award serves to recognize one medical student from the graduating class who best examplifies the following characteristics: Evinces core humanistic values, including honesty and integrity, caring and compassion, altruism and empathy, respect for others, and trustworthiness. Demonstrates a lifelong devotion to excellence, scholarship, and to advancing their field. Adheres to high ethical and moral standards. Responds to societal needs and subordinates their own interests to the interests of others. Exercises accountability for themselves and for their colleagues. Deals with high levels of comlpexity and uncertainty. Reflects upon their actions and decisions.

AOA Medical Student Service Project Award
The intent of this award is to aid in the establishment or expansion of a medical student service project benefiting the school or the local community, as well as to recognize students who dedicate their time and effort to these endeavors. http://alphaomegaalpha.org/student_service.html

Student Essay Awards
The purpose of this award is to encourage medical students to address general topics in medicine and to enable Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society to recognize excellent and thoughtful student presentations in a tangible way. Essays must be written by students while they are in medical school, each entry must represent the work of one author only, and no more than one entry will be accepted from any individual. Authors do not have to be members of AOA , but must be enrolled at medical schools with active AOA chapters.http://alphaomegaalpha.org/student_essay.html

Student Research Fellowships
The purpose of the fellowships is to stimulate interest in research among medical students. Areas of research may include clinical investigation, basic research, epidemiology, and social science/health service research.http://alphaomegaalpha.org/student_research.html

Pharos Poetry Competition
