Rosalind Franklin University students must submit their Masters and Doctoral Theses for publication online! Bound copies are no longer required. Students must satisfy all obligations for examination by the Thesis Committee before proceeding. A copy of the executed Report of Final Examination must be scanned and inserted into the publication document. Theses must be submitted in PDF format. A credit card/debit card must be used to pay the fees required at the time of submission. How does it work? ProQuest Dissertation Publishing, publisher of SGPS student theses for several years, manages this site. They have fabulous customer support, if needed. Students provide the PDF copy of their thesis, which is evaluated here at RFUMS to meet all criteria, then uploaded into the ProQuest database for publication. The RFUMS Library has access to the final product. Fees are the same for online publication as for the previous method of hard copy submission - $45 for Masters and $55 for Doctoral Thesis. Options to order hard bound copy/copies or to have a thesis copyrighted are available – additional fees are detailed for these services. When you are ready to submit, proceed to: http://dissertations.umi.com/rosalindfranklin. If you experience difficulties, contact the customer service number on their home page. ProQuest has been outstanding in providing assistance during this process. The SGPS Dean's Office will receive an e-mail when a student has made a submission. It requires SGPS confirmation concerning the student's committee examinations, etc. A copy will be forwarded to the student's advisor and department chair, to communicate that the student has met the obligation to publish. A final published copy will be made available on-line to the University Librarian for reference at RFUMS. Students are encouraged to submit feedback to the Dean's Office regarding the electronic publication process.
