Dr. Daniel J. Anzia has been the chairman of the department of psychiatry at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital since 1993. A 1973 graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in psychiatry at Loyola University, and is certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Anzia served Lutheran General Hospital as director of inpatient psychiatry and as residency director before becoming chairman. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Anzia is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in which he is a member of the Assembly Executive Committee and assembly liaison to the Steering Committee on Practice Guidelines. He is a past president of the Illinois Psychiatric Society.
