American Medical Association
There are several scholarship opportunities on this website for specific criteria please visit the website.

American Medical Women's Association
This is an annual scholarship that awards scholarships to women currently enrolled in medicals school based on the embodiment of the goals of AMWA as well as financial need.

Army Health Professions Scholarship Program
Must be a medical or psychology student, be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school, be enrolled in an accredited graduate program in the U.S or Puerto Rico, maintain full-time student status during the length of the program, qualify as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve.

Chinese American Physicians Society
This scholarship is available to Chinese American students attending a U.S. medical school.  Applicants are judged according to their academic achievements, financial need, community services records and essays.

Helen H. Glaser Student Essay Awards
Authors must be enrolled at medical school with an active Alpha Omega Alpha chapter but does not need to be a member

International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons
Students preparing for careers in medicine are eligible to apply. A student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full-time in a school accredited in the field involved and application must be for at least the second year of medical  school. There is no age limit. Scholarships are for $1000.00.

NMF Scholarships
The core program is the Need-based Scholarships, and is offered primarily to first and second year medical students.  There are several scholarships and the specific criteria does vary.

National Health Service Corps

The NHSC Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students pursuing primary health care professions training in NHSC-eligible disciplines in return for a commitment to provide health care to communities in need, upon graduation and the completion of training. In return for each school year, or partial school year, of financial support received, students agree to provide primary health care services for one (1) year at an NHSC-approved site located in a high-need Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).  For the first school year, or partial school year, of support, there is a minimum 2-year service commitment.

Armenian Students' Association Scholarship
Students must: Be of Armenian descent, enrolled as a full-time student, must be a U.S. Citizen or must possess appropriate Visa status in order to study in the U.S.

KF Scholarship Programs

PICA Educational Scholarships'
The Pacific Islander's Cultural Association is making available a number of educational scholarships to qualified Pacific Islander students who are either starting or continuing college.
Preference is given to applicants of Pacific Islander descent (Polynesian, Melanesian or Micronesian). The applicant's home of residence must be within one of these California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Marin, Monterey, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, or within those counties' boundaries. Applicant must be sponsored by a community leader who has worked with you as a student, volunteer or mentor.* Applicant must have graduated from High School or obtained a GED prior to the AWARD DATE above. Recipients must enroll in and maintain at least 12 units each quarter or semester during the academic year listed above at a Community College; four-year College or University; Trade or Professional School.  A maximum of four scholarships may be awarded during an applicant's post-high school career.

Paula and Daisy Soros Scholarship for New Americans
This scholarship for New Americans provides financial support for up to 30 individuals in graduate study per year.  To be eligible to apply individuals must hold a "Green" card, be a naturalized U.S. citizen or the child of two parents who are naturalized citizens. At the time of their selection, fellows must be college seniors or early in the graduate programs for which they request support.

Opportunity Scholarships for Lutheran Laywomen
The purpose of the Opportunity Scholarships for Lutheran Laywomen is to provide assistance to women studying for a career other than the ordained ministry. There are several scholarships available with varying qualifications.  Please visit the website for further details.

Korean American Scholarship Foundation
Graduate student enrolled full time during the scholarship application year, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, students with Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of citizenship status.

John Gyles Education Scholarship
Available to both students from U.S. and Canada, be a full-time student, have a GPA of 3.5 on a scale of 4.0.

Jewish Vocational Services Scholarship
To be eligible, you must be a Jewish full-time college or graduate student with financial needs.  Scholarships are granted to students who show promise in their chose careers, especially those entering professions dedicated to helping others.  Students must either be born and or raised in Cook County, Chicago Metropolitan area or Northwest Indiana or have one continuous year of full-time employment in Cook County or Chicago metropolitan area prior to starting professional education.

Japanese Medical Society of America
Students must demonstrate academic excellence, show a strong interested in the JMSA and achieving its goals, and propose a clear, achievable project that will benefit the JMSA and the Japanese community.

Indian Health Services

Illinois Hospital Association
Student must be an Illinois resident with financial need, attend an accredited school and have a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or 4.5 out of 5.0.

Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs

Greek Women's University Club
Candidates must be female, a full-time graduate student, have at least one parent of Greek ancestry, be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent resident of the Chicago metropolitan Area.

Daughters of the American Revolution
All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or University in the United States

 Air Force Health Professions Scholarship
To qualify you must: Be a U.S. Citizen, Be accepted at an accredited graduate institution in an appropriate Health Professions training program. Must service a minimum obligation of three years.
