August 18-22, 2008  Practical Training Course in Confocal Microscopy and Stereology

This intensive, week long course is offered twice a year (May and August) and is hosted by the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. The course attracts advanced technicians and graduate students from around the world and provides hands-on training in the cutting edge technologies of confocal microscopy and design-based stereology. Dr. Peterson has been teaching international microscopy and stereology courses since 1995. For additional information about the course, click here.

In addition to the week long course, short courses are offered in conjunction with major scientific meetings. These courses offer a rapid introduction to the principles and pitfalls of performing confocal microscopy, particularly in conjunction with design-based stereology. The short course is an overview of the full course and should be thought of as an introduction to the critical issues rather than as a replacement for the full course, where extensive tutorials and individual consultation are offered.
