Located on an attractive 85-acre campus in the northshore suburbs of Chicago, Rosalind Franklin University serves about 2,000 students. It is supported by 290 full and part-time faculty and 350 staff members. 

Rosalind Franklin University is adjacent to the newly-established Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, comprised of the former North Chicago Veterans Administration Hospital and Great Lakes Navy Base Hospital.

The University is located in North Chicago, Illinois about 35 miles north of Chicago.  The Chicago metropolitan area offers visitors some of the nation’s most exciting arts, sports, concerts, museums, restaurants, shopping and professional sports.

The University is about 30 miles from O’Hare International Airport and served by the Chicagoland Metra mass transit system.  The University provides a free shuttle bus between campus and the Lake Bluff Metra train station.

The University is also near US 41 and the I-294 tollway, two principal highway systems serving Chicago.

Lake Michigan, one of the world’s largest freshwater lakes, is located five miles east of the campus, offering outstanding water sports and recreation.  The University is also about 60 miles south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home to the nationally-renown Summerfest music festival and outstanding museums, theatre, restaurants and professional sports teams.
